Aftercare

Proper and diligent aftercare is crucial for a vibrant, lasting tattoo.

Day 1 ~ 3 Dry Out Your Tattoo

If there are any signs of infection such as redness around the tattoo, soreness or oozing not stopping even after 3 days, do not hesitate to call the shop or a doctor.

1

Wash it carefully with soap

Take off the bandage 5 hours after tattooing. Wash carefully with warm water and anti-bacterial soap (or regular soap).
* Don’t cover the tattoo with saran wrap or any bandage again.

2

Dry out the tattoo until it stop bleeding

The skin will discharge some blood and fluid. It could form a scab that will damage your tattoo so you have to constantly make your skin dry with a clean towel or a paper towel.

3

Soothe your skin with lotion

To soothe if you feel sore and itchy, apply lotion to the tattooed area in a thin layer once or twice a day.

Day 4 ~ 14 Moisturize Your Tattoo

1

Apply lotion to moisturize your skin

When your skin stops discharging any fluid, you’ll need to put a thin layer of lotion to prevent dehydration of the skin. Apply lotion whenever you feel it’s getting dry.

2

Do not scratch your skin

After a week or so, light scabs may begin to form. Do not scratch or pick the scab. Tapping is OK.

3

Keep moisturize until fully healed

During the healing process, you may see dry skin flake off. This is normal and will eventually clear up. Keep moisturizing with a lotion.
